Company History.

Shine and Company was founded in 1977, by Frank Shine and his son Gary Shine. Frank Shine retired from the business in 1994, and Gary has been the President since. The family business has grown over the past 30 years, with over 25 employees including his three sons Matthew, Jason, and David, his wife Fran, and Matthew’s wife Kristina. In 1997 we opened a second office in Punta Gorda. Matthew has been leading the Electrical Division since 2004 and received his Electrical Contractors license in 2005. Gary and Fran are currently semi-retired and ready to hand off their duties. Jason received his Air Conditioning Contractors license in 2006, and is ready to lead the Air Conditioning Division. Shine Company works primarily in the commercial industry. Our Electrical Division installs Fire Alarm, Voice/ Data, Intercom, Lightning Protection, and complete Electrical systems. Our Air Conditioning Division installs numerous types of air conditioning systems including: DX, chilled water, condensed water, hot water, and DDC control systems. Shine and Company is currently a member of the BANCF/SFCC apprenticeship program for both the HVAC and Electrical field. Matthew is currently an electrical instructor and Gary is a board member for the program. Being a member of this program gives our employees an opportunity to advance in the work place.
